"Clarke and Bell also recently finished an album of acoustic versions of older Erasure songs including "Spiralling," "Rock Me Gently" and "Home," which Clarke expects out next spring. "They're tracks we felt should have been singles," says Clarke. "We put them together with banjo and mandolin. It was good fun to do. The songs themselves were mostly written on acoustic instruments anyway, so it wasn't hard to transfer them over." |

// G-A-Y Erasure Themed Party
On Monday 20th October 2003 G-A-Y (London Astoria) will be celebrating
the release of 'Oh L'Amour' and 'Hits!' with a special Erasure themed
party!
An Erasure track will be played every half hour - and at 1am there will
be the regular Monday Night balloon drop give-away - which will lead
into a half hour of non stop Erasure Megamix tunes.
However this give-away will be different from those usually offered by
G-A-Y - normally the prizes are signed in advance - but for this
special night if you win a prize you may go to the foyer where Andy
Bell will be waiting to meet you and sign your prize!
But what if you don't win a prize? Well just bring along a copy of
either "Oh L'Amour" or "Hits! The Very Best Of Erasure" CD / DVD and
Andy will sign it!
However that's not all! Throughout October there will be Hits! launch
nights at clubs throughout the UK!
Although the exact details will vary depending on the venue, one can
expect Erasure tunes and give-aways at these various club nights!
Andy Bell will have a 30 minute spot on the show 'Juice', presented by
Jamie Crick on Gaydar Radio.
The show will be on air from 15:00 on Monday 13th October 2003.
Gaydar Radio is available in the UK via Sky Digital channel 908,
Digital Radio (DAB), across Europe via the Astra 2A satellite and via
the web at: http://www.gaydaradio.com
Don't forget that Andy will also be appearing on the comedy pop quiz 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks' on Monday 13th October at 21:00 on BBC TWO.
